June 8th promises to be a big day for ESO and especially for SRS. Why? Well, two main reasons: the massive Werewolf overhaul, and the challenge difficulty.
This blog talks about the latter.
When running world boss events, public dungeons, dark anchors, Mirrormoor Incursions and so on, we all know the story: we rock up in force, 15 seconds later the boss is a sorry heap on the floor. Well, from June 8th, that all changes.
The next Boss Bashing Event after June 8th will be carried out in VESTIGE difficulty. 600% more damage taken, 80% less damage done, much higher rewards. So even if we do turn up in a big group, this fight is going to take longer, a lot longer.
The guild points will reflect these two, because from June 8th, you can choose to log any of the events mentioned above in Vestige Mode. If there's not enough of you, then you can choose to step down to MASTER mode, and if you are a more relaxed group, then just keep it at Adventurer.

Those logging events will see that the selection for these events now includes the usual VET/HM/ND options. The way it will work is like this: If your group is running a public dungeon as normal, then these boxes are left unclicked. This is the Adventurer difficulty level, the same as it is now.
If your group wants to up the difficulty, then click the VET/MAS box, and this is very important: everyone in the group must select Master Difficulty. If you want a real challenge, then you all select Vestige Difficulty and you log it with the VET/HM box ticked AND the HM/VEST box ticked.
You may also log the ND (No Death) by clicking that box if none of your team died. New Achievements There are a ton of new achievements for completing events on each new difficulty mode. I don't know but I would expect that if you finish something on Vestige it automatically gives you the easier ones too, let's find out together. Obviously, this is a trust-based system like everything else we do, and we have to trust that each of your teammates has selected the appropriate difficulty level for the event.
To see a comparison of the difficulty levels, check out this awesome video from our friends over at Ninja Pulls. Take a look...
This is going to be epic, oh and spoiler alert, you will die, a lot!
Enjoy this new feature in ESO, it's really going to make one of the most profound differences to our gameplay for a long time. NOTE: Please do not use these buttons until June 8th, except for dungeons, of course, and trials.
