Speed. Strategy. Chaos.
Are you ready to test your mettle against the clock—and your fellow guildies? Introducing Dungeon Racing, the newest Skyrim Red Shirts event, pitting teams against one another in a frantic dash to the finish line.
This isn't just about survival; it's about efficiency, coordination, and holding your nerve. We are taking a Veteran DLC Dungeon and turning it into a racetrack. Multiple teams enter, but only one can claim the glory of the fastest clear.
The Twist: The Great Equaliser
Think you can just stack a team with the highest DPS and steamroll the competition? Think again.
To ensure a level playing field and maximum chaos, all teams will be selected at random using a random number generator immediately before the race. Whether you are a veteran trial runner or a dungeon delver, you’ll need to adapt quickly to your new squad. It’s not just about how good you are; it’s about how well you can work with anyone.
The Rules of the Race
-
Full Clear Required: This is not a skip run! Every single enemy in the dungeon must be eliminated. If it has a health bar, it goes down, and yes, this includes the secret bosses!
-
Team Composition: Standard 4-man setup required (1 Tank, 1 Healer, 2 DDs), but see note below.
-
Difficulty: Veteran DLC (No Hard Mode required).
-
The Start: All teams will begin the dungeon at the same time. You need to wait at the Dungeon entrance until you hear GO!
-
Comms: All racers must join the ‘Dungeon Racing’ voice channel on Discord to coordinate the start and trash-talk the competition.
-
The Finish Line: The moment the final boss dies, your team captain must type "DONE" in Guild Chat (or post a screenshot in Discord) to lock in your time. (The actual time is not important; it's who types DONE first, second and last).
-
Everything is based on the honour system, and as SRS are the most honourable of people, we have no doubt that each team will follow the rules correctly.
-
Once the event is configured, teams can move to other channels to set up their builds for 5 minutes, then return to the Dungeon Racing channel.
Note:
The rules state 2 DDs, a healer and a tank. If you want to call your DD a tank when it isn't, that's your choice; let's hope your team doesn't regret the decision. If your team "agrees" you have a tank and a healer and 2 DDs, then that's between you and your team. You can set up your team any way you like. Some people may be good enough to get away with it; it depends on the dungeon. Others may think they are good enough to get away with it, but the reality will bite hard. If you give up or fail to finish, there are no prizes, so it's a risk; bear that in mind when organising your team.
The Prizes (Guild Points)
Glory is great, but prizes are better. Points are awarded per team:
🥇 1st Place: 150 GP & 150,000 gold per player
🥈 2nd Place: 100 GP & 100,000 gold per player
🥉 3rd Place: 50 GP & 50,000 gold per player
😢 Fail to finish - No prize
Paladin bonuses are in effect (so if you are a Paladin you will get 10% extra gold)
Prepare your builds, polish your rotations, and pray to the RNG gods for a good team draft!
The event will take place every second Thursday, so we will alternate between Duelling and Dungeon Racing.
Earn the achievement
For competing in 20 of these events, you will be awarded the Dungeon Racer Champion. You do not need to be on the winning team; taking part is enough. Check your achievements on the personal achievements page here.
