SRS News Week 12

Our updated schedule. Please see below
Our updated schedule. Please see below

Hey folks Another busy week at SRS. Here is a roundup of what's happening Trader We are still in Rawl'kha, I think it's been about 6 weeks now, we can just about maintain our funds for this trader, I may try bidding a little less as it doesn't look like we are being bid against, probably other guilds don't realise that it's no longer 14 million a week there. Keep your items listed, let's get plenty of sales for the guild.

Discord Voice Chat Some guidance was posted on the voice chat. Here is a recap: As our community continues to grow and we’re running more events together, I just wanted to drop a quick refresher on our Voice Chat guidelines. We have a fantastic, mature group here in Skyrim Red Shirts, and the goal is always to keep our comms a relaxing escape for everyone logging on after a long day. To help us maintain that great atmosphere, please keep the following in mind: Clear Comms for Events: When we are running dungeons or trials, please be mindful of the space. Let the designated leader call the mechanics, and try to keep off-topic chatter to a minimum during fights so everyone can focus. Keeping it Light: We are all here to play ESO and take a break from the real world. Let's try to keep heavy real-world debates, politics, and conspiracy theories out of the general voice channels. If you really want to dive into those topics, please take them to the Tin Foil Hat text channel! Mic Etiquette & Background Noise: If you have a conversation happening in the background of your room, or if there's a lot of background noise, please remember to mute your mic. If an officer notices background noise that has been going on for a while, they might gently move you to the Inactive channel. This is just for your own privacy and to save everyone else's ears—you can always jump right back in when things quiet down. Thanks to everyone for helping make this such a great place to hang out.

Trial Times Swapped

After three cancelled Sunday evening veteran trials, it was suggested to swap the Cyrodiil evening on Saturdays with the Trial on Sundays. This is because the trial is a bit late for our European friends, who have to get up early on Monday mornings. We had a vote and over 80% of people agreed with this idea. So as of today, Veteran Trials will be held at 9 pm Saturday evenings (UK time), and Cyrodiil will be held on Sundays. I will update the calendar today with the new times. If you downloaded the SRS Events addon, there is already an update, so please download and reinstall or let Minion do it for you.

Addons Two of our three addons are now available on Minion YAY

For full instructions, please go to our addons page: https://www.skyrimredshirts.co.uk/add-ons

Home Page Tidying

The SRS Home Page was taking too long to load. This was due to the many spreadsheets embedded into the actual page. In order to speed this up and also declutter the shortcut list, all the Guild Point related links are now in a separate section on the home page, just scroll down a little to see this, the links will open in popup windows, so make sure you allow popups for our website and also disable adblockers as they may interfere (we don't have ads anyway).

Promotions

Gurettal receives our highest award of 3 million gold. Gurettal is only the second person to achieve this, Teacherslight was the first.

Congratulations to KasaGaming on achieving the Veteran Voyager rank and achievement for taking part in 500 events. Kasa receives 500K gold.

Accepting Applicants to the Guild Anyone with rank SRS Adventurer and above can accept someone into the guild. We used to have it as officers-only, but if no one was online, the application could wait a long time. The danger with bank withdrawals by unscrupulous actors was negated after we reassigned rank privileges. If you do accept someone to the guild, please welcome them and point them to the MOTD (Message Of The Day), which gives details of the website, Discord, etc.

Catch The Clown Competition

Ho Ho Hooooooooo!

Hello boys, girls, and Mudcrabs. It's that time again.

The Catch the clown event.

This time we are doing a nautical theme and I'm sure you'll like it.

Just a reminder of the rules:

Send a screen shot of your character in the same place as dribbles (It does not need to be perfect just the same place).

We need to see your character in the pic (not first person).

As well as a pic of the map showing your location.

All SIX pics (three maps and three-character pics) need to be sent at the same time to Teachersleight via private message.

If you are right, your name will be put in a wheel of cheese and used to bludgeon an orc pirate.

After which three names will be drawn.

You may need the hints in the song to find the locations.

Good luck. Teachersleight

That's it for this week, have fun everyone. Matt
