Hey everyone, the 10,000th World Boss Extraveganza is over, and as the title suggests, it was a great success.

196 bosses were slain by up to 37 SRS members in our largest event to date. In total, it took just over 11 hours to complete, running from 11 am on Sunday 12th July to around midnight on Monday 13th July. We even had a golden event for one team when it was logged. People came and went during the event, and that made it complicated to log, as we had to record who had done what for the correct amount of points, but thanks to Inwe's great logging and Teach and Me running the two teams we had at all times, it all ran like clockwork. So many thanks to Teach and Inwe who knocked it out of the park. We ran the event on Master difficulty to provide some challenge and prevent the bosses from dying instantly. As it were, most of them still fell in seconds, not really surprising when you've got 20 people hammering it. We had one wipe, and after that, as I was tanking, I changed to Adventurer difficulty just so that I at least could stay alive and prevent a wipe. In the end, though, when fighting the dragons on Monday evening, I'd forgotten I had gone back to master difficulty and was wondering how these dragons were hitting me so hard, but I managed to tank several dragons on master difficulty, so I was pleased with that lol. Some of the bosses I thought would be easy gave the most deaths: Graveld in Summerset, and others I thought would be difficult were quite easy, Nightmare Den in the Telvanni Peninsula. We threw in 6 dragons, a wandering boss in Galen and The Deadlands, which means the total number of world bosses in the game is 188. Veteran Service Medal

As you may know, this event forms part of the Veteran Service Medal. If you took part and killed at least 50 bosses, you will qualify for the first third of this achievement. The next third will be at 15,000 events and the final third at 20,000 events, in about 9 and 18 months respectively (estimated). If you didn't qualify, then don't despair; whilst you won't ever be able to receive the VSM, there will be another achievement tied to the 15,000th event that you can start working towards; those who did qualify can work towards both achievements.
