Happy New Year everyone! Wow 2025 was a great year for SRS, even if the game was somewhat lacking. We have built a wonderful community, and I'm so proud of the guild and so lucky to have found so many lovely people to share ESO with together. I'm really looking forward to 2026 and all the adventures we will have together.

Trader

As mentioned in a previous blog, I have bid 1.5 million on various traders in Belkarth, Ebonheart and some out-of-town traders. I am curious to see what we win. Please make good use of the trader and try to scan the store occasionally. Mega end-of-year raffle results

Update to the new Skull Crusher Event

The DLC Skull Crusher event and the Base Skull Crusher event are only logged for you if you got a clear, with or without a pug's help. If you die, you will not have the event logged for you. The event has three lots of scoring as follows: Skull Crusher Event, 60 GP per hour, so if it takes us 2 hours, you get 120 GP even if you couldn't beat either boss, so your participation is being rewarded here. Note you must stay for at least an hour to get 60 GP. If there are a lot of people taking part like last night, we will split into two groups for the Base Boss and use two different bosses. For the DLC boss we will regroup and use the same boss. This usually goes faster as when someone dies it just resets and we don't have the respawn timer to worry about. If you beat the base boss, you get that logged for achievement purposes and 20GP If you beat the DLC boss, you get that logged for achievement purposes and 30GP When you reach 20 DLC Skull Crusher Clears, you will receive the above Achievement and 500K Gold!

Promotions

We are delighted to introduce a brand new role to the guild: SRS Elder, proudly accepted by Gurettal.

For the last 18 months, Gurettal has been part of the beating heart of the Skyrim Red Shirts. While this appointment grants her full Officer and Discord Admin privileges, her role is defined by her greatest strength: her care for this community. Gurettal embodies the spirit that gaming is for everyone, proving that passion and contribution have no age limit.

Think of this role as 'Community Support.' She is here to be an advocate and a listener. If you ever need a chat or have a concern, her door is open. She will either help you resolve it or ensure you get to the right person. Thank you, Gurettal, for making our guild a warmer place.

2025 Guild Points Results

Congratulations to Teachersleight on working hard to achieve an amazingly high score, even I, the guild leader, could not hope to get close to. Congratulations to everyone else on the list and to those who were so close but didn't quite get into the top 10. The scores are reset, and the 2026 challenge continues. Who will be at number 1 this year? Can Teach be knocked off the top spot?

December Guild Points Results Congratulations to Inwe on winning December's Guild Points, and well done to everyone else for making it so high up the list. It's great to see new faces in the results, and this may be a clue that this year's winner mix may be different from last year's.

ESO Future Developments: 2026 & Beyond

We are kicking off the year with some massive news on the horizon. ZeniMax Online Studios (ZOS) is gearing up for their annual Global Reveal Livestream on the Bethesda Twitch channel.

This is happening this coming Wednesday, January 7th. This stream will set the stage for the entire year.

What we are expecting:

The "Content Pass" Experiment is Over: It looks like the 2025 content pass model is dead. We expect a return to the classic Chapter or Seasonal structure.

Skyrim’s Final Frontier: With 2026 marking the 15th Anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it is the perfect time for ZOS to open up the final missing area of the Skyrim map (Winterhold or Solstheim, perhaps?).

Class Combat Overhaul: We are anticipating significant class changes, starting with the Dragonknight. These changes should be available to test when Update 49 hits the Public Test Server (PTS), January 12th.

A New Cinematic: Fingers crossed for a new CGI trailer to hype the year!

My Speculation: With the Arcanist being the last class to receive a full rework, I suspect ZOS won't nerf the "beam" directly. Instead, I believe they will spend 2026 bringing the other classes up to compete with the Arcanist’s power level. (But remember, this is just my total speculation!)

It has been almost a year since I attended the Guild Summit (March 2025), and we are still waiting on those promised guild management changes. Hopefully, this livestream finally delivers the news we've been waiting for.
