Trials
Wow, I can't believe another week has gone by so fast. This week we successfully did a no-death Veteran Hel Ra Citadel on the first attempt, well done guys, we then went on to do a normal Lucent Citadel. For a laugh I was tanking on my werewolf. What surprised me was just how good a tank the werewolf makes, with its built-in extra resistances and boost to stamina, it meant the big dog could actually deal a bit of damage as well as tank and not die. Wearing Pearlecent Ward and Lucent Echoes, you guys may want to try this, more fun than normal tanking. Hit me up if you have any questions.
Trader
I can't believe it but we actually managed to get the trader again for 1.5 million. We are now saving 4.5 million a week on what we used to pay. I have a theory as to why we keep winning. For weeks we paid 6 million for this trader, and during that time if someone came along and bid 3 million or 4 or 5 million, they would lose. Eventually they realised they cannot outbid us for this spot and stopped trying. This is a good Spot, Ebonheart is right next to the wayshrine, there are 5 traders there, so it's just as good as Mournhold, where guilds pay tens of millions a week. This week I'm going to bid 1 million and see if we still get it, I'm betting we do, but if we lose out this week just save up your stuff to sell for the following week.
Duelling
1st Shalseth, 2nd Matt, 3rd Vinny. Can anyone beat Shalseth? The only person I know who could was David, but sadly due to receiving a ban and his dislike for subclassing, he no longer plays. I'm hoping he'll come back someday, I keep nagging him lol! (For those who don't know, David is my son, he is a top PvPer and started Firehearts when he was 13, eight years ago!)
New Guide on How to become Emperor
The latest guide in SRS is up, How to become Emperor by @Vogorlo This was so good I spent a couple of hours creating an entire page for this guide on the site. Vogorlo gets the maximum 1000 GP for his efforts. This is an excellent read, and even if you don't want to become Emperor it contains a lot of strategy tips for playing in Cyrodiil. Recruitment
I don't know if it's because of holiday season, or some other reason, but our membership is now down to 440. So we have lost 60 members in the last 4 months, and where I used to see up to 7 applications to be approved when I login, now it's one or two at the most, sometimes none. Our position in the guild finder is still on the first page, usually within the top 10 guilds, which is awesome, but despite that there seem to be far fewer playing the game or joining guilds right now. So if any of you want to recruit, I have a standard message I post in chat which is below. What I normally do is go to each zone in the game and post this once in zone chat, no more than once per day, peak time to recruit is around 8 pm UK time in the evenings.
