Well done folks, thanks for making this guild the most active in ESO. We have recorded over 4000 events since November last year and are on track for around 6000 events per year, this is incredible.

More BS from ZOS - How to avoid being banned

So I got a warning on my account for advertising the guild in zone chat because in the advert I linked  our website address, as I have been doing for years,. I guess someone reported it. They told me it was a warning for advertising. My last response to them was this:

That was 4 days ago and they have not bothered to answer me. I assume that they can't answer as they have contradicted their own rules and don't want to lose face.

Regarding warnings and bans, everyone should take the following into account.

In the game:

There are systems for monitoring what you say to each other, even in private chats, these systems will flag things for investigation. Humans then investigate and have hundreds, maybe thousands of flags to check so they do little more than give it a cursory glance and tick a warning, ignore or ban flag on that account. The appeals process is lengthy and they very rarely admit they were wrong. Just choosing to ignore your reply if you can prove you are correct as in the above case. Be very careful what you write in game chats, I would avoid mentioning any of the following in any kind of game chat:

Any external website address Anything sexual Anything that could be seen as a racial or homophobic slur, (my son got a 72 hour ban for saying "get the fags" in Cyrodiil when they were taking a keep, it was a typo, he meant "Get the flags". This was appealed and it was even explained to support that in the UK fags is not a slur, it's not a word we use except as slang for Cigarrettes, but the Americans think that only their version of English is the correct one, the appeal was denied). Because of this he has decided to no longer play the game and has cancelled his ESO+. We have lost one of the best PvPers in the game and the founder of Firehearts Guild and I have lost my son to play with, which of course was special to me.

Anything political Anything religious Profanities Avoid using the word "GOLD" this can be flagged up as a reference to external gold selling sites. The name of any gold selling sites, e.g. Player Auctions (Crown trading is ok) Avoid using the name Microsoft, Zenimax, ZOS or Bethesda, use Devs instead

Finally, beware that no matter what you do for the game, no matter how much you have spent and how long you have played, no matter if you are a solo player or a guild leader, you can be banned indescriminantly for no reason whatsoever at any time. Forums

They don't like criticism of any kind. I would avoid using the forums, instead use the reddit forum or chat on our discord. Note though that Reddit is a white knight's echo chamber and most criticism there will be downvoted into oblivion faster than you can say Vivec. Be thoughtful about how much money you wish to sink into the game, bearing in mind you could lose access at a moment's notice and never get it back. Unless you are prepared and have the funds to take legal action there is nothing you can do. Also bear in mind ZOS have just lost a third of their workforce, so I would imagine that support is also going to be affected, leaving only the automatic systems to keep flagging things and the mountain of accounts to check will just keep getting bigger, hence you wait for a resolution is likely to be very long indeed.

Trader and future direction

We are in Ebonheart again, I was able to bid 1M less and still get this trader, I am going to lower the bid progressively each week until I find we lose the trader, that will tell me the minimum I need to pay to get it. Note, due to the potential of losing access to the game as mentioned above I have severely reduced my spending which will affect how much Gold I can put into the game. Right now I'm sitting on quite a huge pile so nothing will change but next year it may be different. This is why it's so important to keep the traders full of things to sell, only about 10% of our members actually use the trader and if gold levels drop too low it will no longer be offered. So buy raffle tickets, be a paladin, sell your goods, recommend the village, all these things help with the finances of the guild.

Raffle

Last week's winner was Zuito01 with number 41. We only raised 470K which is quite pitiful really. Please do remember to support the guild by buying raffle tickets, we don't require a fee each week to maintain the trader or anything else, but it does have to be paid for. The raffle should be in the millions each week with 500 members, it seems most people want access to the guild facilities but don't want to support the guild, this is a shame. Thank you to all those who do buy tickets regularly, without your help this guild couldn't continue as it does.
