Guild Point Tools and Website Patch Notes

Welcome to the Patch notes. These will be updated so that the newest information is at the bottom. Older information can also be found in the Discord Patch Notes channel. The Patch notes in this web page are from version 3.0 of the events tool.

Version 3.0

A major update to the events tool has been implemented. Version 3.0

A No Death option is now available for Veteran Trials and Dungeons. Here's how it works. A Dungeon like Bal Sunnar gives 30 GP on Normal difficulty On Veteran difficulty the GP is boosted by 60% of the base, so you would get 48 GP On Hard Mode you get and additional 20% of the base so that's 6 more GP making 54 GP

No Death will also give you an additional 20% of the base GP making 54 GP For those sweaty types out there who want to go for Veteran Hard Mode and No Death (haha good luck), the base bonus will be boosted by 75%, which would give a total of 71 GP, a massive boost over the normal Veteran value of 48, but this does represent the maximum difficulty in the game and is very hard to achieve.

For those interested, this means the maximum you can get in any single event would be Cloudrest veteran +3 no death Hard Mode, which would give 306 points! However, I doubt we will see that logged any time soon. But in the meantime, for those who enjoy a challenge, go get those VET HM ND runs logged, let's see what you can come up with.

Trifecta is something I would like to add, but it is more difficult because I have run out of space on the sheet haha, I'd have to alter all the scripts and a ton of other stuff, so don't expect that this year!

And for those who think this isn't fair because they can't compete at that level, let me remind you that in order to achieve a Vet HM ND run successfully teams may have to practise for hours, days or even weeks to get it right. Think how many dailies you could log in that time!! let the sweatage begin!

Version 3.1

This version patches a minor error and introduces a step by step mini-guide as shown in the screenshot Regular users will not need this but it will be helpful to new users

V3.2

Added several error-catching routines. Logging will cease for the following conditions:

  • Not enough players,

  • Gap between players,

  • Nobody is assigned as the logger,

  • No event entered,

An error message will appear each time explaining the problem and various other disturbing Red and Yellow warning signs will light up around the screen to make you panic and rethink what you're doing

V3.25

For those logging events. Today Version 3.25 has removed the images for the Endeavours and presents them in a single line of code at the bottom of the reporting tool This has the effect of halving the size of the tool in the embed on the website and the result of this is you don't have to scroll down and the pop-up confirmations will appear in the middle of your screen instead of at the bottom.

This is much more comfortable to use. It's a shame the images aren't there but they do appear on the home screen, which is where most people look at them, and as the event logger, the name is all you need.

This stems from the inability to tell Google where to place the confirmation screen, that functionality has not been implemented in the current version of Google Sheets, but may be added in the future.

V3.26

The logged by name MUST now be entered to select any event. Events will not appear until it is entered; instead, a reminder message will appear if you try to select an event without a Logged by name.

V3.3

A major change to the Event Reporting Tool. This change affects adding a new player.

When a player in your group is not in the list because they are new to the guild or have never done an event before, it is necessary to add that player using a script.

Previously, this required you to write the player's name in a cell and press enter, then click the add new player script button. Many people didn't understand that pressing Enter was critical, and without it the script would just enter a blank name.

The ChangeThis cell has now gone completely. Instead, there is a script button called Add New Player at the top of the sheet. Simply click this button, and the following screen will appear

3p3.png

Now it is much more intuitive, simply enter the name and click OK to add the player, and you will then be able to select them from the player dropdown list.

This is a massively modified script from before and will require you to authorise it (sorry about that, but it is only a one-time authorisation for your Google account). I think this will be far easier for new people to understand, and it looks and functions much better than before.

V3.31

Corrected the onOpen passive script to only work if the Reporting! The sheet was selected. Previously, this was messing up other website embeds, and after a few seconds displaying the reporting sheet rather than the sheet requested, e.g. Top 10s. This passive script does the following: Checks that the user is on the Reporting! sheet. If so, move the selection cursor to A6 (position of first player). This prevents other cells from being inadvertently selected and deleted If not --> ends

V3.32

Adding the "✔ Processing Request..." to various scripts so the user knows that something is being done.

V3.33

Tidied up the reporting to the guild text. Used logic to add commas between names and reorganised text to show how people usually call it out in game, e.g. difficulty: event, so Vet HM Event.

A Sample output is below

SRS Event report. Event No 5210: VET HM Aetherian Archive. Players: Adachi545, Ahrvanas, alex_falconson, Algizik, Alienated-303, Alienoutlaw226, AlikFalcon, Alildo, Alternant, AndyShakin, Annabel2210, Astridloveless. Max possible score-90GP

Commas disappear if no players are found, e.g it used to be like this:

4 players out of 12 was Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4,,,,,,,,,

Now: Player 1, Player 2, Player 3, Player 4

The © symbol after a person's name means they have Completed the daily endeavour,

EG:  SRS Event report. Event No 5210: VET HM Aetherian Archive. Players: Adachi545©, Ahrvanas, alex_falconson©, Algizik©, Alienated-303©, Alienoutlaw226, AlikFalcon, Alildo©, Alternant, AndyShakin©, Annabel2210©, Astridloveless©. Max possible score-99GP

I wanted it to be a ✔, but the game doesn't support that code

V3.4

Added the total number of events archived for this user alongside the last date an event was logged.

This is useful for me to see when the next likely promotion is coming up. I do have another sheet that tells me this but this change allows me to get a quick overview of all players. It's also useful for the player to see how many more events they will have to do for a promotion.

Here's a screenshot. The text has to be a little smaller. Ideally, I would have just inserted another column but as that would screw up all the scripts I decided it wasn't worth it, so this nice little formula did the whole lot.

=COUNTIF(archive!$C$1:N, A7) & " / " & IFERROR(TEXT(MAX(FILTER(archive!B:B, MMULT(N(archive!C:N=A7), SEQUENCE(COLUMNS(archive!C:N),1,1,0)) > 0)), "dd-mm-yyyy"), "Update Req")
