An SRS Healer Build
Druidic Resurgence
by Vinny (@EnigmaticTea)
Introduction
So you want to be a healer? Carrying those deadweight teammates over the finish line? Saving your tank from certain doom? Dying alone and afraid when your teammates abandon you in the loving arms of your enemy? Well then, look no further! With the power of Druidic Resurgence, you can do all that and more. This build specialises in pumping out huge quantities of health whilst simultaneously restoring resources to your entire team.

A Preamble:
It might be slightly shocking to see so much purple gear here, and honestly, that's fair (there's even a blue hiding away I've been too lazy to upgrade), but don't let that shake you. This build performs incredibly well and has outcompeted other healers for healing and shields in veteran trial content. To fix the gear, all armour should be Divines and upgraded to the highest tier you can afford. The build has also cleared some Vet HM dungeons like Graven Deep. If anything, let my unacceptably lazy upgrade policy reassure you of this build's power, that it can do all these things, even with a suboptimal gear setup!
There's not really much in the way of swaps here. I run this skill setup for everything; however, if you find yourself in easier content, you might wish to swap some back bar skills, such as Healing Burst or Curative Surge, for whatever your preferred damage-dealing abilities are. Elemental Blockade or Crushing Shock spring to mind as good choices.
Uh Oh! Looks like I've been caught being lazy. This is my version of the build, and even with my lazy upgrade,s it still performs well!
Gear:
The entire build hinges on Recovery Convergence, so you can't swap that out. Winters Respite is based around increasing your healing massively so that you can activate Recovery Convergence as fast as possible. However, if you want to swap to something else like boring old Spell Power Cure, then go for it, but it will increase the activation time for Recovery Convergence. Symphony of Blades is best in slot in my opinion, but if you prefer a different healing monster set, then go for it.
For those of you who don't want to grind trial gear, I'll provide some alternatives at the end of the guide.
Skills:
Not too much in the way of swaps here, but I'll list the options below with the circumstances you might want to consider them in:
-
Healing Burst ---> Hasty Prayer (For scenarios where major expedition can be a make-or-break. Think Vet HM Fang Lair)
-
Zenas Empowering Disc ---> Cleansing Ritual (And Morphs)(For scenarios where a cleanse is required)
-
Zenas Empowering Disc ---> Radiating Regeneration (For spread out fights where the disc doesn't do much and healing the whole group can be tricky)
-
Glyphic of the Tides ---> Reviving Barrier (Alternative Ultimate for increasing your team's ability to tank high burst damage)
-
Glyphic of the Tides ---> Aggressive Horn (A strong alternative damage amp ult)
Playstyle:
So the name of the game with this build is simple RESOURCES, where this build specialises in generating and conserving as many resources for your team as possible. There are two primary tools we use to do this:
our Restorative Banner, which provides allies around us an 8% reduction in ability cost and our Recovery Convergence set, which, with our amount of healing, allows us to blast our 6600 magicka and stamina to all allies in a massive range every 20 seconds.
Combine that with Symphony of Blades (One of the best healer sets in the game IMO) and ye old faithful Energy Orb, and your team should really feel the difference when it comes to their resources.
Winter Respite is a great set and can be used in several ways. If your group is stacked properly, it can massively increase your healing in an area; however, it can also be used to split heal by placing the Winters Respite healing circle on one cluster of friendlies and your Budding Seeds on another. The massive amount of healing this provides is key to helping us prock Recovery Convergence off cooldown. Besides this, you want to maintain all buff uptimes and stay relatively central to the group to provide as many people as possible with the benefits of your banner.
Use your front bar ultimate during most fights, relying on the back bar ultimate in more desperate scenarios where you really need the extra healing. Spam Chakram of Destiny when allies are all relatively healthy. This builds up crux we can use to restore even more resources with Curative Surge and spam Combat Prayer when allies are damaged
(Also make sure to throw in a Combat Prayer every few seconds anyway to maintain the buff.) Besides that, don't die and try playing the other roles a bit, this'll make you better at anticipating when the cretins we spend all our time protecting are most likely to be taking heavy damage you need to heal.
Food and Potions:
Witch Mothers Potent Brew is my food of choice but any magicka boosting food can do the job. As usual Tri-Pots are the go to for potions.
I'm Scared of Trials so What Now?:
If getting into trials is nerve-racking for you here are some swaps you can make:
-
Recovery Coveregence ---> Hollowfang Thirst (My recommended set if you can't get RC can be found in Moongrave Fane and provides resource restoration for the group whilst boosting healing)
-
Recovery Convergence ---> The Worm's Raiment (Found in Vaults of Madness the set gives a chunk of Magicka and increases Magicka regen for all group members. IF you have a high magicka group can be very good)
-
Recovery Convergence ---> Sanctuary (Easy to get as it drops in Banished Cells and will boost healing for your whole team)
-
