Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Do you have a Discord?
The discord is linked on the website and the MOTD
2. What is the website address?
www.skyrimredshirts.co.uk
3. What is MOTD?
Message of the Day, access it by pressing G for guild, you will then see it in front of you under UPDATES. The window is small and hopefully, this will be changed in the upcoming changes to the guild system, and no I don't know when that will be I just know it is being looked at now
4. What is GP, or what are Guild Points?
Again, the answer can be found on the website, linked here: https://www.skyrimredshirts.co.uk/allaboutguildpoints.
SRS Guild Points are awarded whenever you participate in any Skyrim Red Shirts event within The Elder Scrolls Online. Different events will reward different amounts of GP. At the end of the month and the end of the year prizes are awarded depending on how many game points you have earned
4A. What is described as an event and how do I take part?
That's a good question. Most things you can do with a team are considered events. Basically, it is anything available to be logged in our Guild Point Events system. So, all dungeons and trials, dragon hunts, mount race, exploration, werewolf events, Cyrodiil evening, duelling and much more. There are a few things that don't count, such as delves, as they are too short and easy to count and too easy to farm for guild points.
Events occur in the evenings; see the website for details. When we are running events, look out for the callout in guild chat, it will probably be something like, LF 2 more for RND (Random Normal Dungeon), or if it's Vet, then it will be role specific, e.g. LF 1T, 1DD for VHM, this means looking for 1 tank and 1 damage dealer or Veteran Hard Mode dungeon.
Guild events have auto invites and are announced at scheduled times, like Monday Boss Bashing at 9pm UK time with 'Type SRS'. We use the AutoInvite Addon, and the keyword is usually "SRS".
5. What is a mount race?
As simple as it sounds, we race from one point on the map to another, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
6. Should I go on the dungeon event? I have not done many before, and I think I would drag the team down.
Unless it is a high-difficulty veteran hard mode DLC dungeon and we ask for specific roles, then the answer is almost always yes. Most of the event organisers can solo dungeons even on veteran difficulty, so your participation can only be beneficial for everyone.
7. How do I put things onto the guild store to sell?
At any bank in any town, you can access the guild store and list items, see our full guide here https://www.skyrimredshirts.co.uk/selling101
8. How can I access a specific DLC?
The easy answer is with ESO+, I do not recommend buying DLCs except the latest one, which at the time of writing is the 2025 Content Pass. ESO+ gives you access to every other DLC ever released, including dungeon packs. It also gives you more crowns per month than you would get if you spent the same amount just on crowns, as well as the infinite crafting bag. There is a massive list of reasons why ESO+ is worth your hard-earned cash, if you love the game and play it a lot, ESO+ is a no-brainer. See this page
10. How do I access the chat for the guild?
See our short guide here
11. Nothing seems to be happening in the guild
You have just joined, it's 10 am, and nothing much will happen until the evenings, that's because most of us work or study, each year we run over 6,000 events, mostly in the evenings, so be patient, wait until the evening, or start your own group, there is always at least 10 online at any time and usually a lot more.
12. I can't access the guild bank
That's right, you can't until you are promoted to Adventurer. To be promoted, you must take part in 25 events, you will then gain access to the bank
13. I have taken part in enough events, but I haven't been promoted.
This is an oversight; with hundreds of players to administer, it is sometimes easy to miss someone. Just send a message to a guild officer, and it will be checked if you are eligible, and a promotion will be given
14. Should I buy a Transmute station?
No, you already have access to transmuting, scribing, an aetherial well and much more at the Guild Village. Don't waste your money unless you think it's something you will need or intend to go guildless
15. How do I access the guild hall?
If you look at the MOTD (see above) you will see a link right at the top, just click it to be transported there. Another way is to find the guild master rank by sorting on ranks in the guild roster, then right-clicking on the name and choosing to visit the primary residence
16. I've just joined, can I enter the competitions?
As a new member, you have the right to enter all competitions, all events, and anything we do; you are now one of us, our SRS family. Welcome aboard and have fun
17. How do I access the armoury station?
There is one at the guild village (guild hall). You can also claim a free one from the Crown Store and put it in your house. You can also buy, for a lot of crowns, an armoury advisor, which can be summoned anywhere
18. Can I take X from the bank?
Usually, yes, there are no permissions we can set in the game for the guild bank based on rank, like in other MMOs, which means that access is either on or off. So we have our own rules. Every rank is only allowed to withdraw 5 items per day, except the Paladin rank, members of which can withdraw 10 items per day. Be sensible, courteous and polite, don't empty every furnishing plan or recipe, just take what you need within reason.
19 I want to take X from the bank, but it's in a stack of 50, and I only need 1?
Take the entire stack, once in your inventory, right-click on it and split-stack, and put the rest back in the guild bank
20. What should I deposit in the guild bank?
Useful items, please don't deposit stuff that's not even worth vendoring, please don't deposit companion gear unless it's really good, like epic quality at least.
21. I'm a new member. Where should I start?
We've put together a useful new member guide, which you can find here
